The Adventures in London Continue

Hey Kids! So, here's the news:

Run in Hyde Park...check.

Next, any body recognize this picture?

That's right, we fell hard for a tourist trap up in St. John's Wood;namely Abbey freakin' Road!!! I pride myself on staying off the beaten path, but trust me, it was quite the thrill. In case you haven't recognized it, this is THE cross walk just out side Abbey Road Studio (home of Apple Records) where the Beatles shot their famous cover for their last studio ablum, Abbey Road.

After lunch at Queen Mary's Garden, it was over to The Tower of London Bridge.

(London Bridge has fallen down :)

And then (wondering about the surprise?), our London finale at The Prince of Wales Theatre -- the ABBA inspired musical MAMA MIA!!! Sorry if that's a let down, but man -- totally awesome. I think it's best described in the following video, so without further ado, this one goes out to the Grand Canyon Dancing Sensation Cliff Worden-Rogers who wanted vids with all apologies to both Thom and Godbold -- don't worry boys, I'm still a hard core anti-establishment Steve Earle and Bob Dylan fan but what can I say, I grew up in the back seat of my parents' car in the 70's. Go ahead, press play.

If that doesn't get the comments rollin' in, then nothing will.

So, where are we now? Having sucessfully found all the right trains at all the right times, we're in Beaune, France for three days of wine, grapes, bikes, and wine.

So come on back in a day or two. Thanks for reading (and watching, I guess).

So, was it Paul or Ringo that took your picture as you walked across Abbey Rd? Did a poor local get stuck with yet another tourist looking for a photo? Better that, than the poor locals who had to listen to Dancing Queen :-)
Enjoy la belle France. No doubt by now you've found a bottle of red to open in a winery with a baguette and brie. yummmmmmmm. Still jealous...

Honestly, I knew about Cyndi Lauper, but ABBA? Selena, did you wear your jumpsuit to the show? Is there a video of you dancing to Shane's 'musical' performance?

J'imagine que France est fantastique. (like my grade 10 French?) Shane, enjoy the wine; Selena, enjoy the snacks!
